Bybye Canada ...

6 months that I am in Canada. Wahou, time goes so fast, maybe too fast...

Today is my last day at UofC. I should say my last day in Alberta because I was most often in Rockies montains as UofC... .

When I arrived in February, it was inconcevable for me to go every days at university. Why to go abroad only to work! We can work in France too!!!So, I was determined to visit the west side of Canada.

My first trip was a snowshoeing trip one week after my arrival date. Just one word for these first steps in Rockies : mervelous !! Then I did touring and backcountry ski near Rogers Pass in BC : an unforgettable weekend. What better for a french guy who loves nature, mountains and snow !!!

However, it was pretty difficult for me at the beginning due to the language, another culture and lifestyle. Fortunately, I have met a lot of very nice persons in my laboratory but sometimes pretty busy too. (What do you think about that, Seughun? :), life is too short to see all, enjoy !!! ).

I was looking for a club to go out every weeks and I have found the Outdoor club of Calgary. A very good way to meet a lot of persons :) I did backcountry ski, hike, scramble, rafting and backpacking trip with genial persons in Banff, Yoho, Jasper or Waterton Lakes National Park. A lot of jokes, amazing landscape, a gorgeous country, wahooo...., so good !!!

Today, I am sad to fly back to France but happy too because I will see my family, my french friends and my girlfriend. I will take two weeks of vacation (even if I am considering I am in vacation since last Febrary :D ) and I will go to UK just after for another internship in a race car compagny.

I really hope Newbury will be as well as Calgary !!!

So, thanks a lot everybody for all !!! I had very great time with you !!! Maybe see you next 6 months in England!!
